About this opportunity

The issuing body is not explicitly named in the source material. The Planning Division reference appears to be a department within a Maryland entity, but the source does not identify the specific state agency, county, municipality, or other public body issuing this solicitation.

Based on what is provided: Maryland is soliciting a Sewer Planning Basic Ordering Agreement with a proposal due date of September 3, 2026. The Planning Division is updating 22 sewer basin models in InfoWorks ICM to incorporate current sewer network information and recent flow meter data. The models simulate gravity sewer pipes, force mains, and wastewater pumping stations under 2-year and 10-year WSSC design storms, using demographic projections from the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments to evaluate system capacity for existing and future dry and wet weather flows. All models have been calibrated using permanent flow meter data collected within the last 10 years.

The source does not specify contract value, contract term, place of performance, set-asides or preferences, specific deliverables, required qualifications or certifications, evaluation criteria, or procurement timeline detail (question deadline, pre-bid meeting, or anticipated award date).

Opportunity text

The Planning Division is in the process of completing updates of the sewer basin models to all-pipes versions of the models. Soon, the Planning Division will have 22 sewer models in InfoWorks ICM. All models have been calibrated using permanent flow meter data within the last 10 years. The models contain all gravity sewer pipes, force mains, and wastewater pumping stations in the sewer network. The models are used to evaluate the capacity of the sewer system to convey existing and future dry and wet weather flows. Wet weather conditions are simulated under 2-year and 10-year WSSC design storms. Future flows are developed using demographic projections provided by the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (MWCOG).

Under this Contract the Planning Division endeavors to begin a new cycle of updates to the all-pipes sewer models using updated sewer network information and recent flow meter data.
