The City will contract separately with Kompan for playground equipment purchase and installation.

Contract time is 150 calendar days from Notice to Proceed to substantial completion, with an additional 15 calendar days for final completion. Liquidated damages are $500 per calendar day for delays beyond contract time. The contractor must hold a valid Florida General Contractor License and all applicable State, Federal, and Local licenses.

A bid bond of not less than 5 percent of total bid amount is required, along with performance and payment bonds each equal to 110 percent of the contract price from a surety with minimum "A-" Financial Strength Rating and Financial Size Category "10" in Best's Key Rating Guide. A one-year warranty on all materials, parts, components, equipment, and labor is required.

A local vendor preference applies to businesses maintaining a permanent physical location within Riviera Beach for a minimum of 12 months prior to the solicitation date, provided the preference does not result in the City paying more than $25,000 above the amount proposed by a non-local vendor. Bid prices must remain firm for 120 days from bid opening. No pre-bid conference will be held.
