About this opportunity
The City of University Park, Texas is accepting informal quotes for routine facilities maintenance services across multiple trades for fiscal year 2026 (October 1, 2025 through September 30, 2026), with quotes due by September 30, 2026 under a rolling solicitation model.
The City maintains six facilities totaling approximately 87,264 square feet: City Hall (27,901 sq ft), Peek Service Center (25,726 sq ft), University Park Public Library (17,760 sq ft), Holmes Aquatic Center (2,216 sq ft, seasonal), Sanitation Transfer Station (1,061 sq ft), and Fondren Public Service Building (12,600 sq ft, currently under renovation until March 2026). Trades solicited include plumbing, electrical work, HVAC inspection and repair, elevator inspection and repair, painting, general handyman services, roofing, roofer inspection and repair, pest control, overhead door repairs, fire suppression systems maintenance, computer room air conditioning units, generator maintenance and repair, uninterrupted power supply systems maintenance, and ice machine maintenance.
The City does not anticipate individual trade expenses exceeding Texas's $100,000 annual threshold, so this informal solicitation is not subject to Texas Local Government Code Chapter 252 sealed bid requirements. Vendors may submit revised pricing if cost increases occur during the fiscal year. Award selection considers price, qualifications, availability, vendor reputation, and reference feedback under Texas Local Government Code Chapter 252 standards for purchases under $100,000, with the City making final determinations in its sole discretion. Successful vendors must be licensed and in good standing with relevant Texas licensing entities, maintain required insurance and bonding throughout the contract term, comply with all state and local building codes, and adhere to OSHA safety standards. Vendors must provide their own Personal Protective Equipment. A W-9 form and valid certificate of insurance are required before work begins. Payment terms are Net 30 via ACH, check, or MasterCard (for invoices under $3,000). No bid bond is required. Pricing should exclude Texas sales tax. Questions may be submitted through OpenGov or to Elizabeth Anderson (214-987-5480, eanderson@uptexas.org) through September 30, 2026 at 4:00 p.m.
