About this opportunity
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is conducting a Request for Statement of Qualifications (RFSQ) numbered 743-SH for as-needed elevator and escalator maintenance services for its Facilities Services Bureau. The procurement seeks qualified vendors capable of providing comprehensive maintenance and service for elevator and escalator systems across county facilities. Vendors must demonstrate specific minimum mandatory qualifications, including five years of relevant experience within the past ten years, a valid California C-11 Elevator Contractor license, and a Certified Qualified Conveyance (Elevator) Company (CQCC) certificate. Additionally, vendors must employ full-time staff with valid Certified Competent Conveyance Mechanic (CCCM) certificates in good standing. The solicitation was issued on January 22, 2025, with vendors required to submit detailed documentation including references, licenses, and certifications through specified exhibits in Appendix B of the RFSQ package. Vendors must comprehensively complete Exhibit 7 (List of References) and Exhibit 9 (Licenses, Certifications, Registrations, and Accreditations) to be considered for the contract.
The RFSQ does not explicitly mention specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises. No incumbent vendors or existing contractors are identified in the available documentation. While the specific budget range or potential award value is not disclosed, the contract appears to be structured as a master agreement for as-needed services, suggesting potential flexibility in service delivery and compensation. The procurement is specifically targeted at firms with specialized expertise in elevator and escalator maintenance, requiring significant technical qualifications and professional certifications. The contract term and potential renewal options are not explicitly stated in the provided materials. Interested vendors must carefully review the complete RFSQ documentation, particularly Attachment 1 (Statement of Work) and Appendix A (Model Master Agreement), to fully understand the scope of services and contractual expectations. The comprehensive qualification requirements suggest the County is seeking highly experienced and technically proficient service providers for critical infrastructure maintenance.
