About this opportunity
The City of Marysville is requesting qualifications from engineering firms to assess the electrical and HVAC systems at the Marysville Civic Center, with statements of qualifications due September 22, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. and consultant selection scheduled for September 29.
The scope covers evaluation of the existing electrical distribution system, identification of circuits requiring emergency generator support, assessment of generator capacity and remaining capacity, and assessment of HVAC system performance in server room, IDF, and MDF spaces. Deliverables include a conditions assessment report documenting findings, deficiencies, risks, and system limitations, along with recommended upgrades and preliminary plans with rough order of magnitude cost estimates. The City reserves the right to amend the contract to include detailed facility tenant improvement plans, preparation of construction documents for permitting and bidding, permit assistance and agency coordination, and construction administration services.
The facility is located at 501 and 601 Delta Avenue, Marysville, Washington. Submissions must be limited to twenty single-sided pages or ten double-sided pages, not including resumes and past conditions assessment reports, and must follow a three-section format addressing qualifications and experience, approach and capability, and performance experience.
Evaluation uses a numerical scoring system: qualifications and experience weighted at 40 points, approach and capability at 45 points, and performance at 15 points, for a total of 100 points. Respondents must possess or obtain a City of Marysville Business License and comply with all federal, state, and local laws, insurance requirements, and nondiscrimination provisions. The selected consultant will enter into the City's standard Professional Services Agreement with maximum contract amount to be determined and authorized on a task basis. All submitted materials become the property of the City and are subject to public disclosure under Washington State's Public Records Act. Questions were due September 10, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.
