RFP730-24066 AI-Based Chatbot

The University of Houston is seeking an AI-based chatbot/assistant to help prospective and current students find answers to their questions in a timely, secure, and accurate manner. The chatbot would act as a force-multiplier by easing direct one-on-one support from UH representatives and increasing staff efficiency. The chatbot would provide curated information and services that would keep the UH community returning to the chatbot instead of calling or visiting in-person help desks around the campus. This opportunity is open to all UH departments for administrative purposes. The procurement is being conducted by Harris County and the City of Houston. Proposals are due by June 5, 2024. The RFP and associated addendums provide additional details on the required qualifications, scope of work, and evaluation criteria.

This contracting opportunity does not appear to have any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The RFP does not list any incumbent vendors or current contractors, nor does it mention any existing infrastructure or technology that requires integration. The RFP does not specify a budget range or possible award value.
