About this opportunity

The City of Fort Worth is requesting proposals for electrician services on an as-needed basis under RFP-02, with proposals due September 3, 2026. The city has established a 30 percent Small Business participation goal, with certified Small Business Firms required to perform or receive at least 30 percent of the total awarded contract value.

The scope encompasses comprehensive electrical services including disconnects, AC/DC power supplies, electrical construction, conduit installation and repair, wiring and cable installation, equipment installation and repair, temporary wiring, diagnostic testing, and inspections to support the Property Management Department. Services are performed during regular hours (7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday), after-hours, weekends, holidays, and emergency situations as needed. For regular service requests, vendors must acknowledge receipt within two business days and submit firm fixed-price quotations within two business days of notification. Expedited requests require acknowledgment or response within 30 minutes and onsite arrival within four hours, with 24/7, 365-day availability.

Vendors must hold a current Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation Electrical Contractor License, maintain a designated Master Electrician of Record, ensure all personnel are properly licensed, and demonstrate a minimum of three years' experience in commercial electrical repair, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. All equipment must meet or exceed OSHA industry standards; repair parts and materials must be factory new and meet or exceed OEM specifications.

Pricing is submitted via Bonfire Bid Table (BT-68IW) and must include all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision, overhead, and profit. Evaluation uses best-value criteria: cost (up to 20 points), qualifications and experience (up to 20 points), staff quantity and tenure (up to 20 points), method of approach (up to 20 points), and small business participation (up to 20 points). Proposals receiving less than 50 percent of available non-price points are ineligible for award.
