About this opportunity
Boston Public Schools is issuing a Request for Information on Assessment and Curriculum Management Systems, with responses due November 4, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. via Google Form. This is a non-binding information-gathering exercise to identify potential vendors and platforms; responses will inform future budget planning and may support development of a competitive solicitation, not a formal procurement commitment.
BPS seeks platforms supporting curriculum-embedded assessments aligned with High Quality Instructional Materials across mathematics, science, English language arts, history/social science, and ESL. The system must accommodate both summative and formative assessments, provide data access and analysis at classroom, grade, school, student group, and district levels, and integrate with existing district tools including MCAS, ACCESS for ELLs, LAS Links, NWEA MAP Growth, NWEA MAP Fluency, Panorama Student Success, Ellevation, Snowflake, and EdPlan. Integration must comply with Massachusetts Student Data Privacy Agreement and employ interoperable standards including Clever Rostering, EdFi 5.2.0 API, and OneRoster API—these are decision-flipping technical requirements.
Vendors must address six capability areas: curriculum-embedded assessment support, access to curricular materials, integration with existing data platforms, alignment with technology standards (provisioning, authentication, interoperability), pricing structure with licensing models and implementation fees, and references from comparable urban school districts. Pricing submissions must itemize licensing models (per student, per site, or district-wide), one-time implementation and integration fees, professional development costs, and ongoing maintenance expenses.
BPS serves approximately 44,000 students across 105 schools. Respondents must certify compliance with City of Boston standard contract general conditions, including insurance, Worker's Compensation, non-discrimination, debarment status, CORI policies, conflict-of-interest laws, prevailing wage compliance where applicable, and Massachusetts tax law compliance. All responses become BPS property and are subject to public records laws. Inquiries: Sarah Jay (sjay@bostonpublicschools.org) or Ileana Gruia (igruia@bostonpublicschools.org).
