About this opportunity

The City of Corpus Christi Service Asset Management Department is requesting price quotes for retaining wall replacement, landscape installation, and signage at the Solid Waste Administrative Building (2325 Hygeia Street) under RFPQ 7386, with quotes due July 27, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. CT and a mandatory job walk on July 6, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. CT.

The scope includes demolition of the existing timber retaining wall and installation of a new concrete retaining wall with specified reinforcement and finishing over 64 linear feet; removal and replacement of the department sign with a 2-foot by 5-foot aluminum panel featuring reflective background sheeting and black vinyl lettering reading "Solid Waste Services"; and installation of decomposed granite to three to four inches depth across 2,133 square feet of landscaping area. The contractor must obtain all line locating via 811 Texas Dig permit and submit product specifications and certificates within 15 days of contract execution.

The contract term is three months for all work including material lead time, mobilization and demobilization, construction, weather delays, inspections, permit acquisition, and punch-list completion. Pricing must be submitted as two lump sums — one for labor (Monday–Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and one for parts and materials and equipment — with shipping FOB destination included; the city provides tax exemption. The contractor must provide a Certificate of Insurance with minimum $1,000,000 commercial general liability and $500,000 auto liability and workers' compensation coverage, plus a one-year warranty on all labor and materials. No progress invoicing is permitted; final payment requires warranty letters, certificate of permit completion, and any required training documentation. Award goes to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder based on quality, adaptability, ability, capacity, experience, efficiency, integrity, and financial responsibility. Requests for clarification are due July 13, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. CT.
