About this opportunity

San Mateo County Sheriff's Office Emergency Services Bureau is requesting proposals for Ubiquiti network security camera system installation at three remote radio communications sites, with proposals due November 19, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. and a non-mandatory pre-proposal meeting on October 21, 2026. San Mateo County's Procurement Preference for Local Businesses Ordinance awards preferential points of 5–10 percent to local businesses, local non-profits, small businesses, and micro businesses meeting specific criteria.

The scope encompasses installation of approximately 21–27 Ubiquiti security cameras (7–9 per site), network video recorders, switches, cloud gateways, cellular failover equipment, environmental monitoring sensors, mounting hardware, network cabling, conduit, and weatherproofing materials. Work includes conduit installation, equipment configuration, testing, and commissioning within the existing developed facility footprint at three sites. Pricing must cover all labor, materials, equipment, tools, installation, configuration, testing, commissioning, and incidental work on the County's standard pricing table.

Minimum qualifications require SAM registration and UEI number; an account manager with three years of installation and configuration experience; demonstrated provision of similar services for three years within the past seven years; all applicable California business licenses and certifications; and a performance bond covering the total project cost.

Evaluation distributes 105 points across five phases: project approach (30 points), firm qualifications (25 points), team qualifications (20 points), price (25 points), and performance bond (5 points), with an additional 10 percent preferential points available for qualifying local business designations. The contract term is one year. Questions and contract exceptions are due November 9, 2026. Interviews are tentatively scheduled for November 27, 2026, with anticipated contract award on November 30, 2026.
