About this opportunity
The State of Alabama is soliciting quick-quote responses for repair of a leaking LP valve plate and reinstallation of a compressor unit under Contract 26-P-0174, with responses due September 14, 2026.
Respondents must be registered in Alabama Buys and submit responses electronically through the Public Solicitation site. Foreign entities must register with the Alabama Secretary of State before transacting business in the state. Suppliers employing one or more employees within Alabama must provide E-Verify enrollment documentation within five calendar days of notification; failure to do so results in bid rejection.
The scope encompasses repair of the leaking LP valve plate and compressor reinstallation to restore full operational capacity to the affected HVAC system. Detailed technical specifications, performance standards, materials, labor, testing procedures, and quality assurance standards are contained in the attached Scope of Work document (26-P-0174.pdf, 473 KB).
The total contract cost is capped at $25,000, inclusive of the original agreement and any subsequent annual renewals, not to exceed a total time period of five years from the effective date. The contract may be renewed annually by written agreement of both parties. Price escalation requests may be considered if material, labor, or other contract components significantly increase through no fault of the supplier; proposed increases cannot exceed increases in industry-specific price indices or the Consumer Price Index, capped at 5 percent of annual contract cost, and all increases must remain within the $25,000 not-to-exceed total.
The State of Alabama is exempt from paying sales tax. Suppliers must accept multiple forms of electronic payment at no additional cost to the State, including state-issued credit cards, P-cards, and electronic fund transfers. The State reserves the right to conduct cost realism and price reasonableness analysis for any or all bids.
