Bidders must be prequalified by the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services for a minimum single-project capacity of $2 million and hold current DAS Contractor Prequalification Certificates with bid-statement updates.
The scope covers removal and offsite disposal of existing loudspeakers, amplifiers, associated audio equipment and wiring, and installation of a complete new distributed stadium audio system including loudspeakers, amplifiers, cabling, equipment racks, testing, and commissioning at 615 Silver Lane. All workers must hold current OSHA 10-hour training certifications. Normal work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with potential off-hours work required to avoid interference with scheduled stadium events. Each bid must include a 5 percent bid bond based on the Base Bid amount. Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds equal to 100 percent of the contract price are required after bid receipt and before contract execution. Commercial general liability insurance of $1 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate, plus umbrella liability of $10 million in aggregate, are required. The project is tax-exempt with state-provided certificate.
Written questions are due August 7, 2026 at 3:00 PM. A post-bid scope review meeting with the apparent low bidder is scheduled for September 1, with contract award anticipated by September 8 and Notice to Proceed expected September 22, 2026.
