About this opportunity
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) is rebidding a term contract for supplemental labor services providing boiler maintenance, repair, and technical support at various DOTD facilities throughout Louisiana, with proposals due October 1, 2026.
The scope covers inspection, preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and on-call service availability for boiler systems and associated equipment across DOTD locations statewide. Work is performed at multiple DOTD facilities throughout Louisiana. All work must comply with Louisiana prevailing wage laws, applicable safety regulations, and DOTD specifications and standards for boiler system maintenance and repair.
The contract is structured as a term agreement with an initial period and potential renewal options based on contractor performance and continued operational needs. Compensation follows a time-and-materials or labor-hour pricing structure with rates subject to negotiation and approval under prevailing wage requirements. Specific hourly rates for various skill categories — boiler technicians, helpers, and supervisory personnel — will be detailed in the formal bid documents.
The rebid may indicate expiration of the previous contract term or performance issues with the incumbent contractor. Incumbent contractor information, specific response deadlines, site visit requirements, bidder conference details, and funding allocations should be referenced in the associated invitation for bid documents, which are attached as document 50001-2915.pdf.
