About this opportunity

The City of Puyallup is soliciting bids for silt deposit removal from the Puyallup Riverwalk Trail, with proposals due October 22, 2026.

The scope requires removal of accumulated sediment within defined work area boundaries while preserving the original top of bank and natural surroundings. The contractor must restore any damaged trees and plants at no additional expense to the City, confine all operations to project limits, barricade and fence the work zone to prevent unauthorized access, and maintain public safety throughout. The contractor is responsible for locating and preventing damage to known utilities, staging equipment only in designated areas, coordinating with building owners to avoid disruption to adjacent properties and parking, and providing a detailed construction schedule to minimize public inconvenience and inform staff and residents of potential closures.

All sediment must be properly disposed of at an identified final disposal site; the contractor must provide scale weight trucking tickets and documentation including the site name, address, and GPS coordinates. The contractor must procure all necessary Washington State environmental permits and comply with state environmental guidelines. Fuel, oil, and other spills must be prevented; if spills occur, immediate cleanup is required, and storm drainage facilities must be protected from contamination. All operations must comply with applicable safety regulations and be conducted to ensure the safety of the public and employees at all times.

A project manual is attached. No contract value, incumbent, evaluation criteria, or pre-bid meeting date is specified in the available materials.
