About this opportunity
The New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE), specifically the Career and Technical Education (CTE) and Multiple Pathways central teams within the Office of Postsecondary Readiness, is seeking proposals for professional development and technical support services targeting high school educators. This solicitation covers multiple counties including Bronx, Kings, New York, Queens, and Richmond, with a focus on building teacher capacity and developing collaborative professional learning cultures. The procurement seeks organizations experienced in providing professional development services with two primary service components: Professional Development for Multiple Pathways and Professional Development for Career and Technical Education. Key objectives include supporting teachers in making classroom practice adjustments to improve student outcomes, enhance postsecondary readiness, support work-based learning, facilitate career exploration, and engage employer partners. The solicitation is open indefinitely, with proposals due at 65 Court Street, Room 1201, Brooklyn, NY 11201, and electronic copies must be emailed to DCPSubmissions@schools.nyc.gov. Potential vendors can download the full solicitation at https://infohub.nyced.org/working-with-the-doe/vendors/open-doe-solicitations/open-multiple-task-award-contracts-and-procurements, and questions should be directed to ISPSupport@schools.nyc.gov.
The contract has a five-year term and does not include a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside designation, which means the opportunity is open to a broad range of qualified vendors. There are no specific restrictions mentioned regarding disadvantaged enterprises or specific organizational types. The solicitation requires interested vendors to provide comprehensive details about their organization, including company name, address, phone and fax numbers, email address, Tax ID Number, and MTAC Number. While specific award values or budget ranges are not explicitly stated, the procurement suggests a significant ongoing professional development initiative across multiple New York City school districts. Vendors must demonstrate extensive experience in educational professional development, particularly in career and technical education, and the ability to support schools serving challenging student populations. The open-ended nature of the solicitation indicates a potential for multiple awards and ongoing professional development services throughout the contract period.
