About this opportunity
The City of Seattle is requesting bids for construction of ADA-compliant curb ramps across multiple neighborhoods under Project 2025-084, with bids due October 14, 2026. All bidders must complete a Women and Minority Business Enterprise (WMBE) Inclusion Plan with a minimum score of 10 points to be deemed responsive, and must comply with the City's Community Workforce Agreement and Priority Hire requirements.
Work includes sidewalk and pavement construction, curb replacement, earthwork, curb ramp installation, signage, channelization, drainage infrastructure, landscape restoration, and rebar installation. Project locations span North Beacon Hill, Mid-Beacon Hill, Columbia City, Brighton, and Dunlap throughout Seattle. The project is authorized under Ordinance Number 127362 and funded by the Automated Traffic Safety Camera Fund.
The engineer's estimate is $4.5 million to $4.7 million. Bidders must submit a bid guaranty equal to five percent of the total bid including retail sales tax in the form of a cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond. Because the project cost exceeds $1 million, bidders must complete a Bidder/Subcontractor List identifying subcontractors or self-performance for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, structural steel installation, and rebar installation work.
Responsible bidder requirements include Washington State contractor registration, UBI number, industrial insurance coverage, employment security registration, and prevailing wage training. Bidders must propose a total percentage of recycled construction aggregate and concrete materials to be incorporated into the project, with actual usage reported upon completion. All bids must be submitted through OpenGov, and bidders are required to have personally examined the bid documents and project site conditions prior to submission.
