About this opportunity
The Texas Department of Criminal Justice is requesting bids to establish a purchase order for the procurement of pesticides, with bids due October 15, 2026.
The scope covers various pesticide products and formulations needed to support TDCJ operations across its facilities. Vendors must demonstrate proper licensing, certifications, and compliance with environmental and safety regulations. Pricing is submitted on a per-unit or per-container basis as specified in the bid documents. Unit prices govern in case of extension errors.
Delivery must occur within 14 calendar days unless otherwise specified, during normal working hours unless prior approval is obtained. Vendors must indicate the number of days required to place material at TDCJ's receiving location and provide written notice if delays are foreseen. All goods are subject to inspection and testing by authorized TDCJ personnel; vendors bear all costs if products fail to meet specification requirements. Failure to meet delivery promises or specifications authorizes TDCJ to purchase goods elsewhere and charge increased costs to the vendor.
Quoted prices must be firm for 30 days from the response due date, with F.O.B. destination pricing prepaid and allowed unless otherwise stated. The contract may be extended up to three months at TDCJ's sole discretion. Responses must be time-stamped at the office specified in the solicitation by the exact deadline; late and unsigned responses will not be considered.
Respondents must provide their Texas Identification Number and Federal Employer Identification Number on the response and comply with statutory certifications including E-Verify requirements, antitrust compliance, non-debarment status, and Texas Government Code provisions related to child support obligations, lobbying prohibitions, human trafficking prohibitions, and conflicts of interest. All purchases are exempt from State Sales Tax and Federal Excise Tax, though respondents remain responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes resulting from the contract. TDCJ reserves the right to award based on low line-item response, low total of line items, or any other combination serving the state's best interest, and may reject any and all items at its sole discretion.
