About this opportunity
Erie 1 Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES), First Supervisory District is requesting sealed bids for parking lot sealing and striping services at two educational campuses in Erie County, New York, with bids due August 13, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. All work must be completed during summer recess to minimize disruption to summer programs and building operations. Prevailing wage requirements apply under New York State Department of Labor Article 8, PRC #2026021270 — contractors must pay prevailing wage to all employees and submit certified payrolls with invoices before payment.
The scope spans sealcoating, pavement restriping, drain rebuilding with new concrete, and asphalt milling and overlay work at Kenton Career & Technical Center (approximately 71,675 square feet of sealcoating plus additional repair work) and Potter Career & Technical Center (approximately 111,000 square feet of sealcoating). Bidders are required to conduct site visits to verify scope, as square footage figures are approximate. Site contacts are Joseph Warren, Head Custodian at Kenton (716-523-6229) and Nick Notaro, Head Custodian at Potter (716-863-8646).
Bids must be submitted on the sealed bid form with all price extensions calculated in decimals; pricing is net including all transportation and delivery charges. The awarded contractor shall warrant workmanship and materials for one year from completion against premature failure and must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and traffic control. Bidders must provide proof of insurance naming Erie 1 BOCES as additional insured, a Corporate Resolution, Non-Collusive Bidding Certification, Iran Divestment Act Certification, notarized Sexual Harassment Policy & Training Certification, Form W-9, and (for new vendors) a reference sheet. Erie 1 BOCES reserves the right to reject all bids and to award on a line-by-line basis or as a grand total. Award notices will be posted online at www.bidnetdirect.com following the standing committee meeting. Contact Warren Ristine, Director of Facilities (716-821-7149 office, 716-597-5337 cell) or Timothy Kehoe, Purchasing Manager (716-821-7426) for specification questions.
