Posts are sheet aluminum with nominal weight of two pounds per lineal foot, with heights ranging from 4 to 12 feet. The contractor must supply all labor, materials, equipment, mobilization, machinery, and traffic control.
Substantial completion is required by October 23, 2026, with final completion by October 30, 2026. Single lane closures on Highway 424 are permitted nightly between 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.; closures on Highway 020 are permitted daily at all times, with a minimum 15-foot horizontal clearance maintained. Liquidated damages are $300 per calendar day for missed substantial completion dates and $500 per 15 minutes per lane for closures exceeding specified limits.
The contract applies prevailing wage rates established by the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLI) for Region #11 as of July 5, 2026. The contractor must provide performance and payment bonds each equal to the contract price, comprehensive general liability insurance with minimum combined single limits of $1 million per occurrence and $2 million annual aggregate, and commercial automobile liability insurance with minimum combined single limits of $1 million per occurrence. A mandatory preconstruction conference must occur before work commences within 10 working days of Notice to Proceed. The project manager is Ramon Alonso (541-419-9481, Ramon.alonso@odot.oregon.gov) at 63055 N Highway 97, Bend, OR 97703.
