About this opportunity
The Texas Education Agency is requesting proposals for ongoing accessibility evaluation and maintenance of its Open Education Resources instructional materials, with proposals due September 23, 2026. TEA anticipates awarding contracts to vendors capable of delivering scalable, repeatable accessibility services across a large and evolving portfolio of materials spanning multiple content areas, grade bands, and modalities.
The scope encompasses accessibility review and maintenance of fully digital, printable, and interactive instructional materials aligned with federal and state accessibility requirements and TEA accessibility standards. Materials span prekindergarten through grade 12 across foundational literacy, English Language Arts and Reading, Spanish Language Arts and Reading, Social Studies, Mathematics, Science, and supplementary products, in both English and Spanish. Work occurs across multiple products, development stages, and annual cycles, including newly developed materials and materials in continuous improvement.
Place of performance is statewide across Texas local education agencies. These instructional materials are provided at no cost to Texas school districts through the OER initiative, making accessibility compliance and continuous improvement central to equitable delivery. The portfolio is large and evolving, signaling that awardees should anticipate ongoing and variable demand across content areas and grade levels rather than a fixed annual scope.
