About this opportunity

The Missouri Department of Conservation is requesting bids on tree and brush removal services at Wayne Helton Conservation Area in Harrison County under IFB MDC 0000000241SL, with bids due August 28, 2026 at 2:00 PM Central Time. No pre-bid conference or site tour is scheduled.

The scope covers removal of trees and brush on an estimated 100 acres using skid steer equipment with brush cutters, forestry mulchers, tree shears, and tree saws. Contractors must complete at least 50% of work by February 29, 2027, and all services by June 1, 2027. The contractor bears all costs for tools, equipment, materials, labor, supervision, and supplies. Subcontractors are prohibited without prior written Department approval.

Pricing is per-hour on a firm-fixed basis with no guarantee of minimum or maximum service quantity. The Department estimates 100 hours of removal services. The contract period runs from the date of award through one year, with the Department retaining the right to add, remove, or reprioritize work areas during performance while maintaining bid prices.

Award will be based on lowest and best bid considering price and responsibility. Contractors meeting the definition of a business entity must enroll in E-Verify and comply with Missouri tax compliance certification, business registration, and Secretary of State registration requirements. All documentation must be submitted prior to award.

Organizations for the Blind or Sheltered Workshops participation at the greater of five thousand dollars or 2% of total contract value qualifies for bonus points ranging from 5 to 15 points. Bids must be submitted electronically via MissouriBUYS, powered by MOVERS, or by U.S. mail.
