About this opportunity

Northwest Ohio Behavioral Healthcare (NOBH) has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for comprehensive lawn and landscape maintenance services covering approximately 29 acres for a 33-week growing season. The scope of work includes weekly services such as thorough area clean-up, mowing of all grass areas including courtyards and specialized zones, and comprehensive weed control in multiple surface areas like sidewalks, driveways, and parking lots. Monthly services encompass edging of all hard surface areas, pruning of bushes and trees, and removal of low-hanging branches that might obstruct walkways or visibility. Seasonal services are divided into fall and spring components, with fall services focusing on debris removal and tree trimming, while spring services include bush trimming, weed and feed treatments, and detailed garden bed maintenance including weeding and mulching. The solicitation allows potential bidders to schedule a pre-bid walkthrough by contacting Donald McGuire at 419-392-9211, with proposals due by June 4, 2025. The contract opportunity was originally posted on May 19, 2025, and requires a vendor response time of 72 hours for on-call services.

While specific set-aside designations are not explicitly detailed in the provided documentation, the RFP suggests a standard competitive bidding process for lawn and landscape maintenance contractors. No incumbent vendor information is provided, and there are no apparent restrictions limiting participation based on business size or enterprise classification. The documentation does not specify a precise budget range or contract value for the lawn maintenance services. Interested vendors will be expected to provide comprehensive lawn care capabilities, demonstrate professional landscaping expertise, and maintain the specified 72-hour response time for additional service requests. The contract appears to be for a single season with potential for renewal, contingent upon satisfactory performance and the facility's ongoing maintenance needs. Vendors should be prepared to provide detailed service descriptions, pricing structures, and demonstrate capability to meet the comprehensive maintenance requirements outlined in the scope of work.
