About this opportunity
The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) in partnership with the City of Lake Havasu City is requesting bids for multi-use path resurfacing adjacent to Arizona State Route 95 in Lake Havasu City, Mohave County, with bids due August 21, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Mountain Standard Time. Bidders must be prequalified with ADOT and included on the project plansholder list as prime contractors — a gatekeeping eligibility requirement.
The scope covers resurfacing the existing multi-use path located between McCulloch Boulevard South and Palo Verde Boulevard North, with work completion limited to 30 working days. Traffic control must comply with federal standards, with segment closures restricted to weekday evenings (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.). Erosion and sediment control compliance is required. Work is prohibited during designated holidays. Labor must comply with applicable Secretary of Labor wage determinations.
The contract is programmed for $484,000 and is federally funded, triggering Title VI Civil Rights Act compliance and federal disadvantaged business enterprise requirements under 49 CFR Part 26. During the recertification transition period while the Arizona Unified Certification Program completes its cycle, ADOT will not set DBE contract goals or count participation toward overall DBE goals; however, contractors are encouraged to pursue DBE neutral efforts and maintain records accordingly. Electronic bidding is required. Bidders must submit a bid guaranty equal to 10 percent of the bid amount and, upon award, provide performance and payment bonds each equal to 100 percent of the bid amount. The City of Lake Havasu City must be named as an additional insured on the certificate of insurance. Questions are due at least three working days before bid opening through the Bid Express website. No pre-bid meeting or site visit is specified.
