About this opportunity
The State of Alabama Office of the Chief Procurement Officer is soliciting responses for monthly trash pickup under a quick-quote vehicle with responses due October 8, 2026.
Suppliers must be registered in Alabama Buys and submit responses electronically through the platform. All suppliers must acknowledge receipt of the solicitation and any amendments, confirm reading and agreement to furnish services at quoted prices, and certify compliance with all terms and conditions. Questions must be submitted through the Supplier Portal.
The scope covers monthly trash pickup services. The contract may be renewed annually by written agreement of both parties, with a total contract cost not to exceed $25,000 or a total time period of five years from the effective date, whichever comes first. The State reserves the right to analyze bids for cost realism and price reasonableness and to consider price escalation requests not exceeding 5% of annual contract cost with appropriate justification.
Suppliers must comply with Alabama's sales tax exemption requirements, the Beason-Hammon Alabama Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act (E-Verify enrollment verification required), foreign corporation registration with the Alabama Secretary of State if applicable, and Act No. 2006-557 (certification of sales tax registration and remittance). Disclosure statements are required for contracts exceeding $25,000. All suppliers must certify they are not debarred or suspended from federal contracting. The contract is governed by Alabama law with exclusive venue in Montgomery, Alabama, and incorporates by reference Division 4 of the Department of Finance Administrative Code (Chapters 355-4-1 through 355-4-6). Suppliers must accept multiple forms of electronic payment at no additional cost to the State. The State is exempt from sales tax and indemnification.
