About this opportunity

The Montgomery Parks and Recreation Department (MPRD) is soliciting responses for monthly ground maintenance under Alabama's Quick Quote program, with responses due October 8, 2026. Responses must be submitted electronically through Alabama Buys; suppliers must register on the platform prior to submission.

The contract covers ongoing ground maintenance services for MPRD facilities. Suppliers must acknowledge receipt of the solicitation and all amendments, certify compliance with all standard terms and conditions, and affirm no collusion with other bidders. Any resulting contract may be renewed annually by written agreement for a total contract cost not to exceed $25,000 or a total time period of five years from the effective date, whichever occurs first.

Suppliers must be registered with the Alabama Secretary of State if operating as a foreign corporation. Prior to award, suppliers must verify enrollment in the E-Verify program if employing one or more employees within Alabama. Suppliers are required to certify compliance with Alabama's sales tax collection and remittance requirements and the Beason-Hammon Alabama Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act regarding immigration law compliance.

The State of Alabama is exempt from sales tax and will furnish exemption letters upon request. The State reserves the right to conduct cost realism and price reasonableness analysis on all bids and may request written proof of qualifications, including manufacturer reseller authorization and certificates of insurance. Price escalation requests may be considered if costs significantly increase through no fault of the supplier, provided justification and supporting documentation are provided, with increases not exceeding five percent of the annual contract cost. All contracts are governed by Alabama law with venue in Montgomery, Alabama. Disputes are subject to non-binding alternative dispute resolution before potential claims to the Board of Adjustment.
