About this opportunity
The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is seeking competitive sealed bids for a one-time purchase of a single Mobile Crane Unit for its Southwest District, with the solicitation number IFB605CO21000575. The procurement is specifically for a fully assembled mobile crane with attached cab/chassis, which must meet MoDOT's detailed technical specifications for use at their facility located at 3025 East Kearney in Springfield, Missouri. The bid period runs from November 18, 2020, to December 9, 2020, with bids due by 2:00 PM CST, and vendors must submit their proposals electronically through MissouriBUYS or by hard copy mail. The successful bidder will be required to provide a minimum of 4 hours of comprehensive training for MoDOT mechanics, covering electrical, chassis, power train, and hydraulic systems. Evaluation criteria will focus on selecting the lowest responsive, responsible bidder who meets all mandatory technical requirements, with pricing to be submitted as a net delivered, firm, fixed price that includes all delivery, handling, and associated charges.
The solicitation strongly encourages participation from Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) and Women Business Enterprises (WBE), with specific goals of 10% MBE and 5% WBE participation through subcontractors, suppliers, or joint ventures. Service-Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (SDVE) participation is also preferred. The contract includes provisions for liquidated damages of $50 per day per item for late delivery or non-compliant products, not to exceed 50% of the total contract price. While no specific budget range is explicitly stated, the procurement is structured as a one-time purchase with no renewal options. Vendors must provide both standard and extended warranty information, demonstrate compatibility with Missouri's B-20 biodiesel fuel requirements, and agree that equipment warranties will cover fuel-related issues except those directly attributed to biodiesel use. The contract allows for payment via state purchasing card and requires compliance with the Anti-Discrimination Against Israel Act.
