About this opportunity
The City of Daytona Beach, Florida is requesting bids on exterior camera infrastructure installation at Cypress Aquatic Park (Midtown Cypress Park) under ITB #2652, with bids due October 27, 2026 at 3:00 PM, and is applying a local-vendor preference whereby vendors with a permanent place of business and full-time employees within Daytona Beach city limits for a minimum of six months may submit a best and final offer within 10% of the lowest bid price.
The scope includes installation of six camera poles with associated electrical, fiber-optic, and grounding systems. Deliverables are 20-foot direct-burial aluminum poles with #57 granite rock base; Axis P3748-PLVE cameras mounted at 12–14 feet above ground in NEMA 4X rated enclosures; OSP OM3/OM4 fiber-optic cabling with LC-Duplex connectors and media converters; two Schedule 40 PVC conduits per pole at specified depths; centralized UPS with 20-minute runtime and branch circuits to individual poles; and complete as-built drawings. The prime contractor and all subcontractors must hold current, active licensure at bid submission. Contractor responsibility includes utility locates (811), voltage drop calculations, compliance with NFPA 70 and local electrical codes, and coordination with utility companies.
Bids must include a 10% bid bond or alternate security form (certified check, irrevocable letter of credit, or money order) mailed to the City of Daytona Beach Purchasing Department prior to the bid deadline. Proof of Workers Compensation, Commercial General Liability with City as additional insured, and Automobile Liability with combined single limits of no less than $1,000,000 per occurrence must be submitted prior to contract execution. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for September 30, 2026 at 2:00 PM via Microsoft Teams. Questions are due October 20, 2026 at 5:00 PM. Bids are held for up to 60 days following opening. Bid opening and live broadcast occur on the proposal submission deadline.
