About this opportunity

The Finger Lakes Developmental Disabilities Services Office (DDSO), a division of the New York Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), is soliciting bids for roof asbestos-containing material (ACM) abatement at the Middle Cheshire Intermediate Residential Alternative facility located at 4301 Middle Cheshire Road, Canandaigua, New York 14424, with bids due August 18, 2026 and a mandatory site visit on August 10, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Attendance at the entire site visit is a hard eligibility requirement; vendors who do not attend, arrive late, or depart early will be disqualified from bidding.

This is a New York State public works project subject to prevailing wage requirements. A critical qualification filter applies: all bidders must provide a valid New York State Department of Labor (NYSDOL) registration number and submit a Certificate of Registration at bid submission. Failure to provide verifiable NYSDOL registration and certification will result in automatic bid disqualification. The NYSDOL estimates three to four weeks for registration application review and certificate issuance.

The scope is roof ACM abatement services. Interested vendors must request an invitation for bid by submitting a written request on company letterhead that includes the project location and title, current email address, and fax number, directed to Amy Gordillo-Torres via fax at 585-461-8811 or email to FL.Purchasing@opwdd.ny.gov. Advance notification of site visit attendance is not required. No contract value, term, or additional evaluation criteria are specified in the solicitation materials.
