About this opportunity

The State of Alabama Office of the Chief Procurement Officer is soliciting quick-quote submissions for laboratory chemicals in Fiscal Year 2027, with proposals due September 14, 2026 through the Alabama Buys platform.

Suppliers must register with Alabama Buys and submit electronically by the stated close date and time. The solicitation is governed by the State of Alabama Standard Terms and Conditions for Quick Quotes. Questions must be submitted online through the Supplier Portal to maintain an inquiry record.

The resulting contract carries a ceiling of $25,000 total contract cost, inclusive of the original agreement and any subsequent annual renewals, or a five-year term from the effective date, whichever applies first. Price escalation requests may be considered during performance if material, labor, or other contract components increase significantly through no fault of the supplier, provided increases do not exceed 5 percent of the annual contract cost and are supported by documentation.

Suppliers must accept multiple forms of electronic payment at no additional cost to the State, including state-issued credit cards, P-cards, and EFT transfers. The State is exempt from paying sales tax pursuant to Alabama law. All suppliers must comply with federal immigration law and E-Verify requirements, register with the Alabama Secretary of State if a foreign entity, and maintain full compliance with Alabama sales and use tax registration and collection obligations. The State reserves the right to conduct cost realism and price reasonableness analysis on any or all bids. The contract is governed by Alabama law with exclusive venue in Montgomery, and disputes shall be resolved through negotiation, mediation, or the Board of Adjustment as applicable.
