The proposed contract term is three years, with the District retaining the right to exercise up to two additional one-year renewal options with written notice at least 30 days prior to expiration. The District may also extend the contract for up to 180 days to facilitate transition to a new vendor. Pricing must remain firm during the evaluation period and for an additional 120 days after recommendation for award, with fixed pricing for the initial term; respondents may propose pricing increases for optional renewal terms with specified caps.
Vendors must register in the District's B2Gnow vendor portal prior to contract consideration and maintain comprehensive insurance coverage including $1 million per person / $3 million per occurrence products liability, professional liability, general liability, workers' compensation, and automobile liability, with the District named as an additional insured. All contracts exceeding $1 million require compliance with Texas Government Code Section 2252.908 (Form 1295 disclosure of interested parties) and provisions prohibiting boycotts of Israel and energy companies, scrutinized business operations in Sudan or Iran, and discrimination against firearm entities.
