About this opportunity

The City of Port St. Lucie, Florida is requesting bids for maintenance services on industrial uninterruptible power supply (UPS) equipment at three municipal facilities, with bids due June 17, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. and questions due June 3, 2026.

The scope covers preventative maintenance, repairs, and routine inspection services for eight UPS units across the James E. Anderson Water Treatment Plant, Glades Wastewater Treatment Plant, and Westport Wastewater Treatment Plant. Equipment includes Schneider Galaxy, Eaton, and Liebert models. The contractor must perform annual and semi-annual service visits with minimum 24-hour advance notice, respond to emergency calls within four hours and non-emergency calls within 24 hours, and provide detailed written service reports documenting all findings and recommendations. All costs—labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, testing instruments, travel, and disposal—must be included in quoted pricing, which will remain firm throughout the contract term.

The City will award based on best value criteria including skill, experience, past performance, qualifications, adherence to specifications, capacity to perform with available personnel and equipment, financial viability, insurance capacity, pricing, life cycle costs, and local preference considerations. The contractor must hold a Florida General Contractor License and maintain comprehensive insurance coverage (workers' compensation, professional liability, commercial general liability, business automobile liability, and cyber liability) with the City named as an additional insured. All required permits and licenses are the contractor's responsibility, with associated fees included in the contract amount. Subcontractors must be listed and approved by the City prior to award.

The initial contract term is two calendar years from execution, with two optional one-year renewal periods exercisable at the City's sole discretion. No volume or funding commitment is guaranteed. The question response deadline is June 10, 2026. Bidders' conference attendance is strongly encouraged but not mandatory.
