About this opportunity
Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners, Procurement Department, is requesting quotations for lot clearing and nuisance abatement services under a term contract (RFQ #26-0184/DJ), with responses due July 30, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. local time. A 5% local preference applies to quoters with a permanent place of business in Palm Beach County, and a 5% Glades local preference applies to qualified Glades businesses; additionally, SBE set-asides apply to non-federally funded portions, with SBE quoters within 10% of the lowest responsive, responsible vendor eligible for award.
The scope encompasses removal of accumulated waste, yard trash, rubble, and debris; uncultivated vegetation exceeding 18 inches on vacant lots or 7 inches on developed residential or nonresidential lots; Brazilian Pepper bushes; vegetation creating fire hazards; and vegetation obstructing traffic visibility at intersections, signs, or railroad crossings throughout unincorporated Palm Beach County. The successful quoter must furnish all supervision, labor, tools, vehicles, and equipment — including riding lawn mowers, tractors, and bush hogs — and complete work in compliance with applicable laws, codes, and industry standards. Work is assigned on a project-by-project basis; one or more parcels may be included in any assigned project.
Unit prices must remain firm for 90 days from submission and throughout the contract term, with no escalation clauses permitted unless specifically requested. All quoters must register with the County's Vendor Self Service (VSS) system prior to submission; subcontractors must also be registered prior to contract award. Compliance requirements include Davis-Bacon prevailing wage standards (if applicable to federally funded work), drug-free workplace certification, debarment and suspension certification, E-Verify employment eligibility verification, and commercial nondiscrimination provisions. Questions are due July 22, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. The County reserves the right to reject any or all quotes and may award to multiple vendors.
