The scope encompasses curatorial and cultural consultation services to develop and implement student art exhibition programming at Capitol Modern: The Hawaii State Art Museum. Deliverables include designing exhibition guidelines, selecting and curating student artwork, coordinating transportation of artworks, organizing volunteer judges, planning award ceremonies, arranging travel accommodations for neighbor island student awardees and teachers, managing publicity and outreach, coordinating scholarship award disbursements, and submitting a final evaluation report with financial expenditures.
The estimated total cost per art exhibition is $29,950. The contract is fixed-price with contractor-proposed compensation tied to deliverables. Work commences upon full contract execution and continues through June 30, 2027, with the possibility of two one-year renewal options. Contract execution is anticipated for October 2, 2026.
Proposals are evaluated on three criteria: Project Work Proposal (40 points), Demonstrated Past Performance/Qualifications/Professional References (40 points), and Budget (20 points). The lowest bid receives the highest score in the pricing category.
Vendors must obtain a Certificate of Vendor Compliance from the Hawaii Compliance Express system before the submission deadline. The contract name must be identical across all official documentation including the W-9 form, articles of incorporation, certificate of vendor compliance, and invoices.
