The New York Office of Public Safety is soliciting equipment for law enforcement physical abilities testing (LEPAT) to support a new entry-level police officer performance standard mandated by Civil Service Law § 58 and Executive Law § 840, with proposals due August 31, 2026.
The procurement covers four equipment categories: a 6-step portable stair unit with 7-inch rise and 12-inch run per step to simulate three-story climbing; a Physical Control Simulator device replicating gross muscular demands of dynamic pushing and pulling forces in subject control; a portable base plate to anchor the simulator for use without permanent wall mounting; and a 6-foot portable solid wall for vertical-barrier assessment. These items are designed for administration by local civil service and law enforcement hiring agencies statewide.
No contract value, term, incumbent, evaluation criteria, pre-bid meeting, or question deadline is specified in the source.
