About this opportunity
The Board of Supervisors of Louisiana State University and Agricultural & Mechanical College is soliciting bids for one laboratory roll-to-roll slot-die coating system on an all-or-none basis, with bids due electronically by September 3, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Central Time.
LSU Chemical Engineering requires a modular, benchtop coating system for applying continuous, reproducible coatings of functional polymers and battery slurries onto flexible substrates. The system must meet detailed technical specifications including a frame length not exceeding 600 mm, maximum weight of 35 kg, substrate width acceptance up to 180 mm, variable forward and reverse motion speeds from 0.05 to 2.8 m/min with speed stability under 3%, adjustable core cones, precision stage with angular adjustment capabilities for slot-die head integration, linear syringe pump with volumetric delivery control, inert polymer tubing and low dead volume couplings, in-line drying module with heating capacity up to 120°C, and a 100 mm active coating width slot-die head constructed of Grade 316L stainless steel. All products must be new, of the manufacturer's current model, and comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Bidders must supply descriptive literature, technical data, manufacturer name, brand, and model number with their bids.
Bids are quoted net, F.O.B. LSU Destination, inclusive of all delivery and shipping costs to 3307 Patrick F. Taylor Hall, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with the supplier responsible for offloading and placement. Bid prices must remain firm for a minimum of 30 days. Payment is made within 30 days after receipt of properly executed invoice or delivery and acceptance, whichever is later.
