About this opportunity
The City of Alpharetta is seeking competitive bids for the procurement of three vehicles for the FY26 Public Works Small Truck Fleet Replacements through Invitation to Bid (ITB) 26-007. This procurement is specifically for small truck fleet replacement for the city's public works department, with all bid documents and submissions to be processed exclusively through the Bonfire online bidding platform. The ITB was made available on August 21, 2025, with bid responses required to be submitted electronically by September 11, 2025, at 11:00 AM. No alternative submission methods such as hard copy, mail, facsimile, or email will be accepted, and any responses received after the closing time will be automatically disqualified. The City reserves the right to reject any non-responsive or non-responsible bids and to waive technicalities to ensure the procurement process results in the most advantageous contract for the city. Vendors are mandated to monitor the Bonfire project webpage for all official communications, updates, addenda, and final award notifications, with direct communication with city staff prohibited and potentially resulting in bid disqualification.
While the ITB does not explicitly outline specific set-aside designations or vendor restrictions, the procurement appears to be an open competitive bidding process for vehicle procurement. The solicitation covers the replacement of three vehicles for the public works department, suggesting a potential contract value in the range of $150,000 to $300,000 depending on the specific truck specifications and models. No incumbent vendors or existing contractors are mentioned in the document, and there are no explicit references to disadvantaged enterprise participation requirements. The procurement is governed by the City of Alpharetta's Procurement Policy and applicable local procurement laws, with the city maintaining significant discretion in the award process. Interested vendors must register and log in to the Bonfire platform to access the complete ITB documentation and submit their proposals, ensuring a transparent and standardized bidding process.
