About this opportunity
Riverbay Corporation, a Mitchell-Lama cooperative housing development in the Bronx with 15,372 residential units across 35 high-rise towers and 7 townhouse clusters, is requesting proposals for the installation of hollow metal doors and frames, with bids due September 1, 2026 at 4:00 PM via BidNet System and a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting on Microsoft Teams on August 25, 2026 at 10:30 AM.
The scope requires a qualified contractor to provide all labor, materials, and services for hollow metal door and frame installation in accordance with an attached scope of work. Bidders may submit proposals for union or non-union work at their discretion. The contractor must comply with Riverbay's Construction Safety Policy and established working hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM), with no work on specified holidays without written approval. Contract award is subject to review and approval by New York State Homes and Community Renewal (HCR).
Evaluation of proposals will be based on four criteria totaling 100 points: bidder's past experience and performance (30 points), cost of services (20 points), ability to undertake the entire scope of work (30 points), and compliance with bid instructions (20 points). Bidders must demonstrate five years of relevant project experience, provide five professional references, submit financial statements for the three most recent fiscal years, and complete Appendix B (Statement of Qualifications for Bidders).
Required insurance includes workers' compensation with $1,000,000 limits, $1,000,000 auto liability, $1,000,000 general liability, and a $10,000,000 umbrella policy. Payment will be made within 45 to 60 days of receipt of proper invoices, with invoices submitted more than 90 days after work completion deemed unpayable. Riverbay retains discretion to reject any bid or subcontractor and may terminate the contract at any time upon 30 days' written notice. The successful bidder will enter into a written contract based on Riverbay's Standard Form of Contract.
