About this opportunity

SUNY Stony Brook University Hospital intends to purchase infusion pumps and related products from ICU Medical Sales Inc. via Vizient consortium contract under New York State Finance Law Section 163(3)(vi), which authorizes procurement from a consortium without a formal competitive process when justified by price, with questions due by September 17, 2026. This is a sole-source procurement vehicle — not an open competitive solicitation.

Vendors offering equivalent infusion pumps and related products may contact Richard Frenger to discuss the procurement, though the Hospital's stated intent is purchase from the named vendor. No contract value, term, or estimated spend is disclosed.

All questions and requests for information must be submitted via email. The procurement is subject to New York State Finance Law 139 j&k (lobbying law); vendors are restricted to contact only with Richard Frenger, and non-compliance can result in contract denial or debarment from New York State Agency sales.

Vendors must complete and submit the New York State Vendor Responsibility Questionnaire via the NYS VendRep System online portal or as a paper form. Vendors require a New York State Vendor Identification Number to enroll. The Office of the State Comptroller's Help Desk (866-370-4672, 518-408-4672, or ciohelpdesk@osc.state.ny.us) assists with enrollment and ID assignment.
