Hurricane Impact Windows Installation (Hollywood)
The Housing Department of the Seminole Tribe of Florida is requesting bids on hurricane impact windows and doors installation services at the Hollywood Reservation under ITB-LD 166-2026, with bids due October 15, 2026, and a mandatory pre-bid conference on October 5 at 9:00 a.m. ET. The Tribe provides preference to qualified Seminole Tribal Member-owned and STOFI-owned businesses, allowing such entities to submit bids up to 4% higher than the lowest non-Tribal business bid for construction projects. The scope involves removal of ten existing windows, installation of PGT insulated sliding impact-rated windows with energy-efficient glass and non-insulated options, installation of corresponding screen enclosures at all ten openings, and repair and patching of compromised drywall and stucco areas with prime and paint finishing to match existing surfaces. All windows must meet Broward Notice of Acceptance, Florida Product Approvals, the Seminole Tribe Building Code, and the Florida Building Code. Frame color is default white or bronze. Bidders must hold a current certified contractor license (state or county), demonstrate a minimum of three years' experience in similar services, and maintain Commercial General Liability insurance of $1 million per occurrence, Automobile Liability coverage of $1 million, and Workers' Compensation insurance. All proposed subcontractors require advance approval by the Tribe. Work must commence within 28 calendar days of purchase order receipt and be completed within 14 calendar days. Pricing must remain fixed and firm for a minimum of 180 calendar days from the bid due date. The mandatory pre-bid conference at 3021 North 63rd Avenue, Hollywood, FL 33024 requires attendance for bid eligibility, with a ten-minute grace period for late arrivals. Prospective bidders may take measurements during the conference. Questions are due October 8 at 5:00 p.m. ET. Bids are submitted through BidNet Direct. The Tribe reserves the right to award to one or multiple contractors, reject any or all bids, and negotiate pricing and terms. Successful bidders must complete vendor registration and background review before contract execution.
