About this opportunity
Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is seeking procurement for glass and sliding cab components, specifically identified by solicitation number 2097529. The opportunity was posted on January 14, 2026, with proposals due by January 21, 2026. This procurement appears focused on acquiring specialized transportation vehicle components, specifically glass and sliding cab elements for DART's transit fleet. Potential vendors must complete Bonfire registration to access full bid details and must submit comprehensive responses through the online bidding platform. Critical submission requirements include providing pricing with FOB Destination shipping terms, with freight costs incorporated into the overall price. Vendors must strictly adhere to DART's purchase order terms and conditions, which mandate precise delivery schedules and performance standards. The solicitation emphasizes that time and delivery rates are essential, with potential for order rejection or default termination if delivery specifications are not met.
While specific set-aside designations are not explicitly detailed in the available documentation, DART's standard procurement practices typically include provisions for equal opportunity and potential preferences for disadvantaged business enterprises. The agency's payment terms are standardized at Net 30, with invoices required to be submitted electronically to APInvoices@dart.org and include comprehensive documentation such as purchase order number, item descriptions, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. Vendors must provide commercial warranties covering merchantable quality and specification compliance, and certify non-association with foreign terrorist organizations. The procurement is governed by Texas law, with legal venue situated in Dallas County. While specific budget ranges are not disclosed, the solicitation suggests a formal competitive procurement process with rigorous vendor qualification and performance expectations. Interested vendors should carefully review the attached Purchase Order Terms and Conditions document, which provides comprehensive guidance on submission requirements, performance standards, and contractual obligations.
