About this opportunity
The City of Frisco is requesting bids for an annual fixed-price contract for generator preventative maintenance covering 18 generators across multiple city facilities, with bids due September 17, 2026 at 2:00 PM CDT and public bid opening the same day at 2:05 PM CDT. All work on control panels—including programming, configuration, troubleshooting, modification, and software services—must be performed by technicians certified, licensed, or otherwise approved by the control panel and software manufacturers, a mandatory qualification filter.
The scope encompasses quarterly inspections, annual service visits, and triennial inspections for generators manufactured by Kohler, Generac, Caterpillar/Olympian, and MTU. Pricing must include all charges for each service type, with separate hourly rates for normal business hours, weekend hours, and holiday hours, plus trip charges where applicable.
The initial contract term is three years with an option for one additional two-year renewal period under the same terms and conditions. The City reserves the right to award to multiple vendors and may add or subtract generators during the contract period at its discretion. Questions must be submitted by September 10, 2026 at 4:00 PM CDT.
Evaluation allocates 50 points to price, 30 points to ability to provide services (including relevant certifications and authorizations), and 20 points to references and previous experience, with municipal experience preferred. Contractors must maintain comprehensive general liability insurance of $2 million per occurrence and $4 million aggregate, statutory workers' compensation coverage, and comply with prevailing wage requirements under the Davis-Bacon Act and Texas Government Code Chapter 2258. Bidders must demonstrate financial responsibility, adequate performance history, satisfactory integrity and ethics records, and compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Payment terms are Net 30 unless otherwise specified.
