The scope involves removal and disposal of the current greenhouse covering, replacement of existing metal doors with a new 48" x 80" steel exterior door on the south end wall, and installation of rigid 6MM twinwall polycarbonate covering on roof, end walls, and sidewalls. Bidders must submit detailed proposals identifying specific materials and parts for each component.
The contract is structured as a single lump-sum job bid with award based on best value as determined by TJJD in its sole discretion. Successful respondents must obtain and maintain basic insurance coverage including workers' compensation and commercial general liability with "A" rated Texas-licensed carriers. Bids must be emailed with the bid opening date and requisition number (FY26_EVN_greenhouse) in the subject line, signed and time-stamped by the deadline, and include the bidder's Texas Payee Identification Number or Federal Employer Identification Number. Unsigned or late bids are subject to disqualification. Payment will be made within 30 days of receipt of goods/services and an undisputed invoice in accordance with the Texas Prompt Payment Act. The contract is contingent upon continued appropriation by the Texas Legislature. Site visits are encouraged prior to bidding; contact Rodolfo (Roy) Medrano at 956-566-0393.
