Firewall Security Services - (Re-Solicit)

The state of Virginia, through the Newport News Public Schools (NNPS) district, is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Firewall Security Services. The purpose of this procurement is to solicit proposals for upgrades to NNPS's existing Firewall Solution to address their current and future firewall needs. The contract requires the provision of Fortinet Next Generation Firewalls, FortiManager Cloud Subscription Licenses, FortiSwitch Network Switches, and 10Gb SFP Modules, along with installation, configuration, and training services. The key objectives are to provide full data inspection, protect users and data from internal and external threats, and integrate with the district's existing network. Proposals are due on March 1, 2024 by 2:00 PM EST, and the contract term is for 1 year with 4 optional 1-year renewals. NNPS will evaluate proposals primarily on the basis of cost-effectiveness.

The RFP does not specify any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. There are no details provided on any incumbent vendors or current contractors, nor is there information on the existing infrastructure or technology that requires integration. The RFP does not include any listed award values or budget ranges, but it does state that all pricing should be submitted as firm fixed unit prices, and that additional parts not listed can be added to the contract through a modification agreed to by NNPS and the Service Provider.
