The scope includes 24/7/365 monitoring, annual inspections, functional testing, and repairs of fire alarm systems, suppression systems (halon and non-halon), smoke control systems, fire pumps, sprinkler systems, and associated components at multiple county locations. All labor, supervision, travel, equipment, lifts, tools, permits, inspection fees, and incidental costs must be included in proposed prices.
The contract term is one year beginning October 1, 2026, with four optional one-year renewal terms available upon mutual consent at the original proposed price unless cost increases exceeding five percent are substantiated. Hood County reserves the right to cancel the contract at any time with 90 days' written notice and to add or delete locations and systems during the contract term.
Evaluation criteria are Qualifications and Experience (20 percent), use of subcontractors with lowest percentage preferred (10 percent), quality of inspection reports (10 percent), references and past performance (10 percent), service and support information (5 percent), and pricing proposal (45 percent).
