About this opportunity
The City of Dallas is soliciting bids to establish a three-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity service price agreement for inspection, maintenance, parts replacement, and repair of fire extinguishers and sprinkler systems for citywide use, with bids due September 4, 2026. The solicitation number is BT26-00030640. Services are divided into two groups: Group 1 comprises fire extinguisher inspections, recharging, and hydrostatic testing in accordance with NFPA standards; Group 2 comprises sprinkler system inspections, trip tests, preventive maintenance, and repairs for wet-pipe, dry-pipe, and pre-action systems from manufacturers including Grinnell, CSC, Reliable, Viking, and Star. All services must be performed by directly employed and supervised certified technicians. Bidders must have been established in business for a minimum of two years, provide three verifiable references, hold a current Certificate of Registration from the Texas State Fire Marshal, and submit manufacturers' letters of authorization for certified technicians.
Bid pricing must be firm for the entire contract term, with any discounts or markups specified on the bid sheet. The City maintains a $23.06 per hour wage floor requirement for general service contracts exceeding $50,000. A $100 bid security (sealed bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check) is required. No guaranteed minimum quantities apply; services will be ordered on an as-needed basis. The contract commences upon Dallas City Council approval and execution. The pre-bid conference is scheduled for August 19, 2026, at 2:00 PM via Microsoft Teams. Questions are due August 23, 2026, at 11:30 PM. Bids must be submitted through the City's Bonfire solicitation portal.
