About this opportunity

Clarkstown Central School District is requesting bids for removal and replacement of swimming pool bulkhead grating at Felix Festa Middle School, located at 30 Parrott Road, West Nyack, New York, with sealed bids due September 10, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. and a mandatory site visit scheduled for August 27, 2026 at 12:30 p.m.

The scope comprises furnishing and installing white molded polymer I-beam grating on top and side surfaces of the existing bulkhead, applying black polymer lane-target indicia at eight lane locations on the side grating, removal and disposal of existing grating and debris, and final cleaning. Bidders may propose approved equal products with supporting technical documentation; the District retains sole authority to determine equivalency. The contract term is one year from the date of award, with all work to be completed within that period unless otherwise approved in writing.

All pricing must be submitted as net lump sum amounts excluding applicable taxes (the District is tax-exempt) and must be inclusive of all labor, materials, equipment, fabrication, freight, delivery, handling, unloading, installation, removal, disposal, supervision, and related costs. No fuel surcharges, delivery surcharges, escalation fees, or similar additional costs are permitted during the contract term. Award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder meeting specifications. The successful bidder must provide a one-year warranty on all labor and materials against defects in material and workmanship, with any manufacturer warranties exceeding one year transferred to the District.

The District requires successful bidders to procure and maintain commercial general liability insurance with minimum limits of $1 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate, naming the District as an additional insured, and automobile liability insurance with a minimum combined single limit of $1 million, plus workers' compensation coverage as required by New York State law. The RFB includes two alternate bid options: Alternate No. 1 for top surface grating only and Alternate No. 2 for side surface grating only. Questions must be submitted in writing to Sabrina Alvarado, Purchasing Agent, by 11:00 a.m. on September 2, 2026. Bids are to be submitted at the Clarkstown Central School District office, 62 Old Middletown Road, New City, New York 10956.
