About this opportunity
The Trinity River Authority is soliciting bids for ferrous chloride (FeCl2) supply to two potable water systems, with bids due August 12, 2026 at 12:00 PM via the Procureware platform.
The scope covers an estimated 50 dry tons annually for the Huntsville Regional Water Supply System and 7 dry tons for the Livingston Regional Water Supply System under a one-year contract commencing December 1, 2026 and ending November 30, 2027. Quantities are estimates and may vary. The ferrous chloride solution must meet ANSI/NSF Standard 60 certification with a concentration between 27 and 36 percent, pH range of 2 to 6, and specified metal-content requirements. Bidders must submit a Safety Data Sheet, product specification sheet, and proof of ANSI/NSF certification with their proposals; failure to provide these documents renders bids non-responsive.
All pricing must include delivery unloaded (DPU) to both designated facilities, entered in the Procureware Pricing Tab. Delivery will be accepted Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM in approximately 4,000-gallon truck shipments, with the bidder responsible for all unloading equipment. The successful bidder must provide certified analysis with each shipment and bear all costs for removal of rejected material.
The awardee must carry comprehensive insurance: $1,000,000 commercial general liability per occurrence, $2,000,000 pollution liability, $1,000,000 commercial auto liability, and $1,000,000 umbrella coverage. Sales tax and federal excise tax are exempt.
No pre-bid conference will be held. All questions must be addressed through the Procureware website. Award will be made by the Authority's Board of Directors following bid evaluation, with notification via email to the successful bidder.
