The contract completion period is 90 calendar days from Notice to Proceed, with liquidated damages of $250 per calendar day for delays. A 5% bid guarantee is required with the sealed bid package. Payment and performance bonds equal to 100% of the contract award amount and a two-year workmanship guarantee are required as conditions of award. KCHA retains 5% of progress payments until 45 days after Final Acceptance. General Liability insurance of $1,000,000 per occurrence, Automobile Liability of $1,000,000 per accident, Employers' Liability of $1,000,000 per accident, and Builders Risk insurance covering the completed project value are mandatory.
