The City of Hialeah is soliciting bids from qualified and experienced contractors for a critical, turn-key power resilience project at the City of Hialeah Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and backup 911 call center. The core of this project is the furnishing, installation, and commissioning of a new 400 kW diesel generator system to replace an existing unit within a dedicated generator room. The contractor will be responsible for safely removing the existing generator and associated transfer switch for the City's reuse, providing the new generator, all required switchgear, wiring, and conduit to properly connect various components to the existing power distribution at the facility to ensure reliable, uninterrupted backup power for these mission-critical services in case of a power outage. Respondents must be authorized dealers who can manage all aspects of the installation, from engineering and permitting to certified documentation, including structural anchoring compliance, to ensure a seamless transition. The successful bidder shall furnish, install, and commission a complete and operational parallel Eaton UPS system. This single, all-inclusive scope requires the contractor to provide all equipment, materials, labor, engineering, permitting, inspections, and certified documentation. The contractor must successfully integrate the new UPS with the existing Eaton 93PM unit, using appropriate paralleling switchgear or tie cabinets. Concurrent Project Coordination: The City is concurrently installing a new 400 kW standby generator at this facility. The awarded UPS vendor must coordinate with the Director of Construction & Maintenance and the awarded generator contractor regarding electrical switchgear tie-ins, downtime windows, and the utilization of temporary emergency power.
