About this opportunity

The Idaho Department of Lands (IDL) is procuring exclusive services for two Single Engine Airtanker (SEATS) aircraft, classified as Type 3, through a Request for Proposal (RFP) process. The procuring jurisdiction is the state of Idaho. The primary deliverable is the provision of fully operational, Interagency-carded and approved aircraft that meet all specified requirements outlined in the RFP. Contractors must supply not only the aircraft themselves but also qualified and proficient operating personnel and all associated equipment necessary for operations. The contractor must demonstrate expertise in aircraft operations, meet FAA and Interagency standards for wildfire support services, and possess the capability to maintain aircraft readiness and operational compliance. The proposal was posted on March 10, 2026, with a submission deadline of March 13, 2026, providing potential bidders with a three-day window to prepare and submit proposals in response to this opportunity.

The opportunity documentation provided does not specify any particular set-aside designations, disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) restrictions, or limitations on the types of organizations eligible to respond. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified in the available information, nor are there references to existing infrastructure or technology integration requirements beyond the Interagency approval standards. Similarly, no specific award value or budget range is disclosed in the materials provided, leaving the financial scope of this procurement undetermined based on the current information available.
